The Cottage
The Cottage is a substantial Grade II listed Cotswold stone house dating from the late 16th early 17th century and extended in the 18th/19th and 20th centuries.
This was the final phase of an extensive project which has involved external repairs to the house, refurbishment of the rear wing, a timber framed rear extension and the restoration of a Victorian conservatory.
Our work involved the internal refurbishment of the main house including the conservation of the 17th century staircase, reinstatement of lime plaster where walls had been stripped, the design of new arts and crafts inspired joinery including new timber panelling to the principal dining room as well as renovation of wooden floors throughout. Overhaul of the historic leaded glazing and metal casement windows. The house was also reserviced with new heating, electrics and lighting scheme.
